Building and Properties
Ramshorn Inn Redevelopment Project
In 2005, an investor(a) bought the property and building with the idea to incubate start up business opportunities while upgrading the once successful, 101 year old Stringer Hotel and Ramshorn Inn buildings and the many other names it has been through time (Westerner).
The property is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Ramshorn Street and 1st Street, 202 East Ramshorn Street, of the Nicols Addition, Block 1, Lots 1, 2, 3, & 4. The tax classification is Commercial, and is 0.77 acres, 33,750 square feet total.
The building has a main floor with two elevations, a second floor, two basements, and an attic with dormers. The building has been transformed many times, and some parts of the orginal buildings can still be identified, as work continues to improve the structure, infrastructure, efficiencies, appearance and functionability. In 2013, an "Existing Conditions Survey and Assessment Report" were performed by Dubbe Moulder Architects of the Jackson WY office. In 2015, an "Energy Audit" was performed by Manufacturing-Works of Powell, WY. Also in 2015, an electrical upgrade was contracted to comply with state, local, and power company codes and the removal of overhead service.
The foot print of the building is 10,000 sq ft, which gives development opportunies of the open space into new retail and/or residencial buildings.
Currently, the popular Nostalgia Bistro restaurant business occupies 65% of the main floor, while Cutthroat Fly Shop & Adventures resides in the front southwest corner of the building with a small patio, and the Ramshorn Inn Liquor and Fine Wine shop is at the front southeast corner of the building. The 1200 sq ft of second floor has five office spaces, with four currently occupied.
